This has to be the most confusing challenge description of all-time!!

It just seems to be a total contradiction.

For this challenge, the title of your submitted photo must also be the title of a movie. This doesn't mean your photograph has to be somehow related to the actual movie. The movie title you pick should just be an appropriate title for your subject matter. So be creative and have fun!

Its a free study, with creative naming, what don't you get?

Keegbow, I understand your confusion. I think what it is saying is that the caption of your photo should fit the photo, not necessarily the content of the movie it is named after. So if my title is Gone with the Wind, and I have a photo of dandelion seeds blowing away, people shouldn't say "DNMC, where's the civil war in this photo?"

Is that clearer, or even more confusing? :-)

Here's the previous one. I think it helps it make more sense.

Okay that is much better. Simply the photo can be anything it's more about how you tie the title in.

ditto (ok, it was beer not chocolate)

I'm predicting a lowish scoring challenge as I'm sure voters would prefer the image to fit the film title.

Do you mean you think the voters will prefer the image fit the film theme as well as the title?

lol yes (I did say I'd taken a drink). I reckon my FS project would do really well in this but am saving myself.

You bet!!! If you want to score well, make sure the title and the photo are "in your face" type deals, and both very clearly relate to a well known movie.

I really liked your explanation, by the way!

Thanks to talj for reminding me of an earlier FS idea I had so can save my best idea for the FS and still shoot a ribbon worthy movie shot (I hope).

I've been trying to think of something for this but my brain won't get past "The Attack of the Killer Tomatoes"...I think I should go in search of some dappled light instead.

is it somehow possible to get these balks you can see on a 4/3 sized monitors when watching a 16/9 movie in basic editing?

Good question...Can't you just add a border above and below the image (not on the sides?)

Just increase the hieght within the canvas size adjustment in your editing program.

*** Movie Titles II 05/20/2008 0 9999 / 23 105%

i'm having high hopes for my entry but 105% is just overwhelming! :D

my photo is not the most creative one i guess and represents the movie rather than just the movie title, but i hope it does both well enough to get me a decent score, so watch out! ;)

do you think people will vote lower if the title of the movie is a lesser known/older movie?
