still dropping like a stone, as usual. It will likely bottom out just under 6, then gradually make it back to the 6 mark by the end. It is very predictible these days. boring even. ho hum.

I had one, in macro, that hit a score around 30 votes then stayed within .05 of it all week. THAT was boring.

Compared to the horrible scores in the other two open challenges, this one is a relief. Don't know why I'm entering so many right now, guess I just miss the DPL and how it got me to shoot a lot.

I know it's hard to get a good score in a FS but I do have a good picture.
congrats to all above the 6 mark. Double congrats to those above the 7

The daytime votes are pulling it down with a lot of 5's but I'm not getting many 4's, so there's still a chance for a 6 out of this one.

Did my own share of the dirty work as well. I'm gonna blow off voting this weeks other challenges and try to do a 100% comment on this. I'll come up for air sometime next week.

You have rated 22 of 469 images (5%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 19 of 469 images (4%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 6.1364.

Nice place to be dropping from mind you!

I'm busy calculating just how far I'll drop in the FSM and (suprisingly) not as far as I'd hoped. Will be back with the 50 vote check-in as its still on a rollercoaster but just broke the 6 mark (going up btw). And 5 commenters love it :)

Trust me when I say that I have had many drops from the 5.0 range lol. So this is a nice change for me.

So first challenge for me in 5 months and it's off to a staggering 5.5 vote.... I remember why I don't bother again :-/ Maybe try 7 months next time and score a 7.7.... didn't think so :-)

As there are 2 challenges right now with over 300 entrys in both, I reckon the comments might be in very small demand.

So I am going to try to make an effort and comment 100% on this challenge.

So watch out for my fingers faster than my brain working and bad spelling lol

Well, your comment, and the one other I've received, are two of the most complimentary and helpful comments I've gotten in ages, and all the more heartening as the image has no processing except a slight touch of sharpening after resizing, and a little crop to reduce the file size.

Thanks! :-)

Same here. Now if only the other voters felt like you did.

My 11 afternoon voters think it's only worthy of a 5.5.

I think this is much better than my sepia entry, but sepia is now pulling ahead in the scoring. It's still early for the FS, however.

I would have submitted it to a Minimal challenge in a moment -- the sharpening hardly makes a difference, and I'd just have to lower the JPEG quality one notch to make up for the 20kb of data I cropped away. I tried to adjust the color with Curves as I usually do, but I couldn't make it look any better. Now, if I could only remember how I did it ... :-)

well what can i say, with over 450 entrys, you are sooooooooooooooooooooooo going to see fumbled up words as my fingers type on a different keyboard than the one i have in front of me lol

and there is a possibility that I even made up a whole new word for one comment, lol
