I can feel the creativity beginning to ooze now! (or something like that). This will be a good one! Although, Im to predict a LOT of sunset photos.

Lets be original people! :D

I just looked at the outline, and am gutted that my original idea can't be done. It was going to be an orange on top of squished banana titled "Orange you glad I didn't say banana?" My neice loves that joke and drives me nuts with it every time I talk to her. I guess I was looking for a little catharsis here. Meanwhile we wander...

Cheers

One of my favorite photographs would fit quite well into this challenge...

Unfortunately, the photo was taken almost 4 years ago and I don't think my now 5-yo daughter would be whilling to squeeze into that dress and play around in a puddle.

Isn't there at least one shot of it in almost every other challenge. I can see Homer getting voted down for lack of originality for sure. ;)

That's nice amsmyth. I considered flowers, but all I have this time of year is dafodils and they are all yellow. :(

Frustrating to be a day early...it was a part of the annual Spring Bulb show and I got quite a bit of satisfaction from the colors and scents. We just had a snowstorm and now it's go out and hunt orange...

Stu, that joke and how to illustrate it was the first thing I though of too -- right before I called up the challenge specifics and discovered you couldn't use the fruit. Good luck.

Isn't it construction season there? The orange barrels and cones are in full bloom here! Not to mention orange construction equipment, vests, etc. And if there were a sunset at the same time...

Well if I find anything suitable this will be my first foray into a DP contest.
I am going to try to stay from such orange cliches as clown fish,goldfish,sunsets/rises. Dam now I am all out of ideas.

And still after all these years all these new words ... still nothing rhymes with orange.

Oranges are forbidden.

I would bet that here in UK there will be lots of references to the Orange (very large company).

I would have suggested to ask them to sponsor the challenge if I did know it in time.

Ideas for orange that are not cats or dogs...
crayons, home depot (aprons, people, racks, carts, signs), some road signs, tools, flags, cars 9that oare orange of course), sunsets and pumpkins (not pumpkin season here though), tomatoes, books, CDs, dishes and other home decor, flowers (we'll see lots), guitars, children in orange clothing, and you can of course color twist anything to be orange, although i would tend to vote that type of pic on the low end of the scale.

A child in an orange colored tub, bathing in orange juice, using orange shampoo and holding orange flowers and a gold fish? (with a sundet behind them, being watched by an orange tabby cat)

I like this shot a lot! When I first saw it, I thought it was some sort of funky disease as viewed through a microscope...

I think we should start a pool on how many submissions will have oranges in it from people who forgot to read the challenge description. I'm in for 5.

All that and an A60, too! Great minds think alike indeed!
Good luck to you too.
