We hit Rickett's Glen state park last year in May and had a good turnout. I think everybody had a good time and the falls were beautiful. So are we doing it again this year? We did last year's on May 6th. The leaves had started coming back and it was still cool enough to hike. I'm getting antsy for another GTG and there's rarely anything around here that I can make it to. I don't want to head the thing up because I live 3 hours away and don't know the area, but I wanted to try to gauge interest in another trip to the park.

I'd be interested, but unavailable until about the 3rd week of May.

I'd definitely be interested, although I have 5 weddings and a Bat Mitzvah to shoot next month, so I'm not sure when I'd squeeze it in. I do actually have May 17 open...

I came last year and it was great. I'd go again, although with graduation and whatnot, I could only make it sometime after 21 May.

You can count me in. I had a great time, if Scalvery brings the doughnuts.

County me in and I'll be delighted to bring the grille again.

I've also dumped 80 pounds and have started taking better care of myself so you guys won't laugh at me puffing and wheezing my way around the trails......8>)

I'd love to attend again! I couldn't go the wkend of the 10th or 17th though.

Count me in. I miss you guys (and gals). Been so busy I haven't been around DPC much. Thanks TonyT for letting me know about this thread.

Sounds like May is gonna be tough to schedule for most people. Now my parents are coming to visit around the 25th. What if we tried for sometime in June? Or is that worse?
Last year's was on a Sunday. I could do just about any Sunday. And with enough notice, I could swing a Saturday.

Depending on when this ends up coming off, I could be into a PA roadtrip

June works for me.

June would probably be better for me, as well. A bit more time to plan, that way.

I had a great time last year and if forced, I could manage to eat a few more of those brownies that Alan's wife made last year for the GTG. :D June would be good for me as well it seems for a few others. Could we narrow it down to the weekend of the 7th-8th or the 13th-14th? Just to get plans going?

June 8th is good for me. My kid will be at the beach so my wife will come along.

We hit Ricket's last year... what about hitting one of the "caverns" in PA.

I know there is Crystal Caves, Echo Caverns, and a few others. Not sure which is the largest and most spectacular. But I think one of these would be a cool venture.

I took a ride out to Rickett's Saturday, here's two quick shots. Things are starting to green up quite nicely.

Are we planning it for June 8th then?

Just for the record, I have already alerted my wife so she can be sure to have the proper supplies in stock :)

OK, went through last year's post for the GTG and PM'd everybody who attended (and hadn't responded here) and everybody who showed interest but couldn't make it.

I'll get an official thread going here soon so we can get some more concrete information out there.

And since I'm 3 hours away, I'm very open to suggestions from those who live closer to the park (and those who don't). I was just getting antsy about going back and wanted to get the ball rolling.

In the meantime, here's the link to last year's GTG thread.
