When you recognize a shot as positive in this challenge, is this a rules violation?

No. Not meeting the challenge is not a rules violation unless it was specified in the challenge description as being so. In other words, if the challenge was "2 second exposure" and the rules SPECIFICALLY stated that any entry not exposed for 2 seconds would be grounds for disqualification, then it would of course be a DQ for not meeting the challenge. Otherwise it just gets hammered with low votes. Ask me, I know. See "Body Parts". :-)

Hey Bobbie, good to see your score doing so well. Looks like we are neck and neck early in the race.

Go International Shooter's Organization!!! It would be cool to see Gennaro and the others doing well here too.

I'm starting to wonder if the people who are voting get confused with the 'keyboard voting' vs clicking voting? isn't 1 a 10 in keyboard voting?

other than it being in negative form -you're right it does seem to be a 'free study' --- hope your camera didnt' break;

i'd cry if my camera broke :( again....

Where's that dancing banana icon? Looking great so far, but of course there's still lots of time for the drop.

This is going to be a long week. I was really excited about my photo and this challenge. Woke up to a 5.5 and since then it has dropped to a 5.1. Then to rub salt in a wound my 14 year daughter who hasn't been in a challenge since September 2007 also entered the same challenge. When I kissed her last night I told her don't be mad if I am head in the morning. She threw my statement right back at me this morning. She woke up to a score of 5.7 and it has risen to a 6. It currently is bouncing between a 5.9 and 6.0. Glad to have her back but oh man. My past two challenges I have been 6+ so this one is a bit hard to take. Oh well, I still love taking photos, competing and displaying my photos.

I can lend my dancing carrot if that helps, don't need it this week.

A negative image can appear "positive" after the use of the different legal uses of some sliders in PS. It still keeps that special appearance, kind of illustration like quality of the "negative" though!

I am pretty sure that people who submitted into this challenge knew how to convert!

Sorry, I just had to say that!

I am enjoying looking at all the negatives immensly! I hadn`t expected that inverting images can make them look so interesting!

Oliver, does that mean that Christiane is beating you in this challenge, too? :-)

And I did enter. No clue on the score as I don't have scores on. It definitely meets the challenge - it's definitely a negative image. It's sufficiently boring so I don't offend anyone. It's probably scoring about a 5.3. No comments. Very safe entry....

I'm afraid, yes.

Ah, but it is her turn - she consistently gets very high scores and and doesn't have enough ribbons yet to show for it.

Mine has dropped 5.7 to 5.3 in 5 votes! OUCH! I love it though!
