Now, now James, no need for that. Some of us have completed voting and have now begun the task of commenting on all the 500 images in this months free study. But, it is only about 7 hours and 40 minutes since rollover and we still have 6 days 16 hours and 20 minutes (there abouts) to comment...so how about cutting those intending to comment a little slack?
I take it you will be voting and commenting on all images in this months Free Study too?
*polite rant over*

Well said, Natalya. And to all those who bemoan low scores without comments (not picking on you, James - you're certainly not the only one), please look at your own actions first. Do you comment on the shots you give low scores to? I could go look at the comments given by those bemoaning but that seems a bit counterproductive when I could be voting and commenting instead. :-)
As for my score, when I looked this morning it was at 5.667. I'd imagine it's still in that neighborhood, more or less. My plan for the year was to enter odd-numbered months (Jan/Mar/etc) with shots I thought would be appealing to the masses and worthy of a potential 6 score. Then enter shots I really like that aren't quite so massively appealing in the even-numbered months and hope they break 5. So far the even numbered months (all one of them) are working out better than the odd numbered ones. |

Many apologies to you my lady, just a grouchy old man waking up to a crappy score. But to be fair, I never seem to get the comments from the voters who score a picture low and I know it is the nature of the beast. I almost never vote anymore, and probably should not be entering either, It does nothing but get my pressure up. I just like to view more now and read techniques of others. After all, that is the only way to learn here. Thanks for the smackdown:) |

"DNMC 1"
How in the hell I can submit a DNMC on a FREE STUDY CHALLENGE???
The voting in this site needs urgent revision. Low votes should be required to be explained why is the low vote. A drop down with some common justifications would help the lazy voters to comment.

Ohhhhh I forgot it was April's Fool's day today! Tee hee. ..oh how well I remember the fiasco last year.
At least. . .and SC, THANK YOU. . .for not putting the most humiliating photo we've ever taken with a note that you're displaying it for everyone to see and enjoy like you did last year. . . .anything but that :)
Well. . .even with the 1 DNMC, I'm at 6.67, so hopefully that part isn't a cruel joke that will see it drop into the low 5's at day's end :)

Are you sure there is nothing going on with the scores?
EDIT: Mine just went up .2 before posting, no new votes, and no new views. so that many people changed their score that fast?

Promising. It dropped a touch overnight, but seems to be moving up again. And I got a fave! Still, for a freestudy this will be mid-pack.

Mine seems to have taken a nice 0.2 jump in the last few minutes also, although I'm not sure on the total votes. Maybe the DNMC person is replacing ones or it's more April 1 funstuff. |

If scores are being messed with for april fools then I hope I don't take a dramatic downturn when I look tomorrow. On the other hand those that have low scores that expected higher.... I hope you find a big jump in your score tomorrow. |

Here is my update. Not much different from this a.m. which leads me to believe that the "April Fools" DNMC 1 I got has had little or nothing to do with my score. Guess ole' "BAGHEAD" knows junk when he/she sees it. LOL
