I am not sure if alot of people really understood this challenge theme. That or maybe I am way to in the box thinking for it. |

Arrrgghh! Open your minds, voters, to what a portrait can actually be.
No comments yet, but I think that my score is lower because many people will think "That's a ______ shot, not a portrait." Sadly, only after the challenge is over will I be able to enlighten them to the fact that I was hired to produce this exact portrait. |

Oh, sure, high 6s. Pffft. Anyone can focus a camera on a brightly lit subject and get a decent shot.
Try going for the brown ribbon with something that's also brightly lit and in focus. ;)

| I goofed and submitted my enviro portrait in the fences challenge. Considering that it has nothing to do with a fence, it's doing pretty damn well (4.0 so far). I'm trying to decide whether to DQ myself. The only problem is that, if I do that, and then I goof again within the next 25 challenges, I could get suspended. That's pretty severe. So, I'll probably just leave it where it is. Any thoughts? |

That doesn't work.
You were never DQed yet, so how are the odds you'd be DQed in the next 25 challenges? Just go for the self DQ.

Trying to keep an open mind here but I have to agree. Some images lack an environment altogether and there are many where the environment has no true or special connection to the subject. Technically every environment is an environment so there's no DNMC but the links in more than a few are a little weak.
