I had to submit my original and explain my post processing a couple of days ago and also followed up with another image of how it was set up but the status against my image still reads

Status:
Thank you for submitting your proof file. Your submission is being reviewed by the administrators and is pending further action.

How long does the verification take? I know I did nothing illegal as only hue/sat and brightness/contrast were changed and the photo was of something real (ie not just a photo of a photo or something like that), but would be nice not to see that message anymore :o)

It took only a couple of days when this was called into question:

I wouldn't worry about it; if you were honest and everything is in order, you should be fine.

I have had them take from between one day and 7 days. All depends on the discussion being had about your image and processing and how long it takes for SC to come to a consensus.

The verifications take varying amounts of time, but there are things that can help speed the process a bit. When you're asked to submit an original for proof, please be sure to provide as much information you can about your editing, as well as set-up.

In your case, friartuck, the shot was questioned because it looked "impossible" under basic editing, and even when you provided the original, we couldn't tell just what we were looking at (which is why I had asked you for additional information).

So if your shot has something that would look unusual or suspicious, it's definitely helpful to us to explain what we're seeing ahead of time, in addition to any editing details :) As for your shot, it appears to be well on its way to being validated.

Thanks for the update Alan, I'll bear all that in mind in future submissions :)
