I had one of those "should have put in the other submission" moments right now. Gah, oh well, live and learn I guess. It just seems like the one I pick tends to do not as good as hoped.

Well, you can generally tell after voting on all the others and can get a general idea within the first ten votes how you are going to do. I was a little off-mark with this particular shot than the other one. I am alreadfy in the 4.8's!! I am trying to avoid this 4 rut that I am consistently in. Life goes on.

Incredible most of my entries this year started around 4 and moved up including my 4th place finish. Most of the higher votes came on the last 2 days.

Edit: No entries for Silence (No ideas) or Design & Engineering(No time).

I have submitted one of those shots that the minute the challenge starts I realize that nobody on here likes this kind of thing except me. Looking at it and comparing it to my lowest scoring photos on here, all of which I like, or I wouldn't have submitted them, it's no surprise I'm going to end up mid 4's. I'll never learn. :)

I guess though, that the first few votes are ALWAYS the harshest.

Man, I am having the same thing, i actually took an extra picture i was sure to submit, liked the 1st one better, and got feedback saying if i took the photo another way it would've been perfect....That was the other one i changed my mind about, left out he "perfect" one and chose to submit this one...lol.
