Long Beach, CA - Open House/Studio event

D. M. Gremlin Productions recording and photography studio is holding its 4th Studio Open House night on March 28, 2008.
This is a friendly get-together for local artists and friends to share an evening of conversation, meet-and-greet, and casual photo shooting.

Make sure to bring your cameras, because this month we will be featuring a bodypaint/photography mini-workshop with
Lisa Berczel of Battledress Paint n' Body, along with photographer extraordinaire Adam Chilson!

Or register and reply to this forum so we will be expecting you.

There is no limit on attendance, but we must know who you are in order to let you in!

This Studio event is in Long Beach, CA.

having just read a thread on why this community is so unique i thought i would have a browse of the forums, and this is the first thread i find... wow! Sometimes i wish i lived in CA... Loved Chilson's barbed wire series, intense stuff!

Today is the day, I will be heading down there in the next couple hours. Depending on how exhausted I am, I will post some images in the wee hours tomorrow, or tomorrow afternoon of the event.

Chuck & I are heading down there after work. I get off work at 6pm, so we will be a little late (leaving Glendale, CA in traffic - ugh)... but we should get down there by 8pm or so.

I'm heading to the Poppy Preserve tomorrow, so I won't be posting photos anytime soon; but, I look forward to seeing everyone else's!

If any of you see me down there, say hi!

Hey hey, yeah its 5:30am, I rolled in about 30 minutes ago. Just wanted to say thanks to the DPCers who came by I think we had a load of fun. I will have to post images later. but please those of you who where there, please join the studio forum and post a couple images of what you captured. Link should be above, if not remind me and I will post it again.

Andrew... wonderful images (and makeup too of course)! I know I got in your way a couple of times, so I wanted to apologize again for that, but also wanted to thank you for letting us know about this event... it was really great and everyone was so helpful and friendly! I posted a few of my favorites over on the studio's forum and will post shortly here as well. Also, you may want to change your thumbs to links or have the SC add a warning to the thread title due to the nude images. I will post mine here shortly. Thanks again!

Thanks for Coming and posting Chuck. You have posted some really fun and very nice images so far. I look forward to seeing more.

Also about the nude thumbs, when I post the message, the Adult content link at the bottom says 'No need to check if only posting adult thumb' because being in the nude gallery it automatically gets blocked. But, SC can feel free to add the warning to title thread if must be L()L.

p.s. L()L na its cool about the adult content, I tend to like to cover my bases as well. Though its always nice to be reminded.

Also, during the shoots if the setup was specifically for me I would have A. shooed everyone away, or B. not done it during the open house L()L.

I just think it was funny, that I was 'literately' tripping over photographers as I was shooting. I would hate to think what it was like in the Other studio where the full setup was and the painted models L()L. So no worries, next time feel free to hope on in so I can trip on ya L()L.

Awesome, I will make sure to let you all know when it is. And well I entered curves, something completely out of bounds L()L Im running for the brown I suppose. My last few images have seemed to really flop with the voters.

Yeah I have one as well which is doing poorly, but I expected it. I just haven't been able to break five for the past several challenges. Or is it just 2008 im eating it in so far? Hmmm

Anyway, this one is my fav of the bunch. I kept meaning to say something on the other board but always got distracted and stuff. But yeah, this really captures Conundrum and stuff. Fantastically captured in my opinion.

Musicians, photographers, models, stylists, and other artists check in!

D. M. Gremlin Productions recording and photography studio is holding its monthly Studio Open House night on April 25, 2008. This is a friendly get-together for local artists and friends to share an evening of conversation, meet-and-greet, and casual photo shooting. This month, we may even have live music from some of the musicians of Long Beach Records. Check out their forums for views of a few images and videos shot right here at the last Open House night in March - it was quite a party! Also view above for images some users posted.

For either event please RSVP to studio@dm-gremlin.com at least 24 hours in advance of the event you would like to attend. Please include the number of people in your party, and whether each person is a musician, model, photographer, stylist, etc.

Man, I still haven't edited mine! I'm working on a March 23rd event right now (editing). I am not sure I can make this open house... trying to figure that out. I may be in Palm Springs. Will get back to you! :)
