Share with us a connection you've made between photography and poetry, or between a specific photo and poem. Where have you published these photo/poems? How did you decide what image to use or what poem to select? Here's a recent collaboration, with a poem SONNET FOR THE DAWN by charliebaker and a nature photo, Misty Forest by zoomdak.

Hi - Had a look at Cannon Beach, and Glory of Creation and there are some very beautiful photos there. Sonnet for the Dawn is a beautiful poem, and the Misty Forest photo - I love it!

My sister Theresa and I collaborated on a book of her poetry and my photographs last year, called "A Symphony of Words and Images: Two Sisters, Worlds Apart, Creative Together". Theresa lives in Japan, and I live in Canada, and we created this book together using Yahoo chat, web, and e-mail. There were any nights when I stayed up til wee hours of the morning as we worked on choosing one of my photos for each of her poems. (The book contains 40 poems and 45 photos). You can see it here: A Symphony of Words and Images. Also available for purchase on amazon.com.

For 3 years I had been badgered by many people on and off the internet to put a book together combining my words with my images. I finally put one together and ended up going with Lulu due to the costs involved over here...and whilst I really do NOT like the grid they put over the preview images....I love the hard copy version.

'Words Are Not Enough'.

"Life brings many experiences. Some good...some not so good.
But with all of ones experiences comes feeling. Those feelings
are encaptured in words and finished with vision. No one has a
perfect life. In everyday life words are spoken. But do they
really reflect the true meaning behind them. Sometimes you need
images to help experience the words and the emotions"

Linda, I'll check out your work. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Judi for the info on your book of words/images.

Anyone else have a published book/blog of poetry/photography?
