Good shots. What lens did you use?

Oops, I missed the critique. My main observation is that several were blown out a bit on one side. Perhaps a median setting between the two light levels would have been better.

Looks like good rock concert pictures to me! I like them!
My dad has a whole bunch of old B&W, some color, and slides of concert pictures......from the 70's, concerts he went to while stationed in Germany, these remind me of them!

The tight cropping, vivid colors and energy captured are very effective. The first image reminds of a young Ozzy Osbourne :-) I was just a little surprised that the backgrounds were that much in focus. I suspect you were further back and had to crop a little? I really like these photos.

I'll echo what Ben has said about the singer shot: really caught a moment there.

Concert photography is always tricky. Never enought light, artists most of time moving , crowdy places....
If this is a first attempt, congrats Kosta. It's excellent, specially the singer photo.
What lens did you use?. Is the camera on a tripod or monopod? ISO value? Post processing?

Great job! The last three are especially well captured.

A thought/warning/consideration: Do you have permission to sell images of this band? I don't know for sure what the legal issues would be, but I'm pretty sure there are limits on "merchandising the image" of a band. Hope this isn't an issue...

Try to raise the iso to 800!
or does it get grainy on the 300D at that level of iso?

800 ISO is good only up to 8X10 prints, for larger ones is just too much noise!

now that would depend on how much DPI you are working with. if you only have 2 DPI, it is going to be smaller than that, however if you have a canon 1DS. you could get a larger image.

The last one is excellent... with your other excellent drummer shot in your portfolio, you've got some great gig photography. The timing of the singer shot here is great.

I like your shots,
maybe use a little fill flash next time.

Kosta, all are great, but I really love the last one. Nice work!

Kosta, those look great. I have been doing some live performance photos recently, but I have not gotten very many worth keeping. Most of the places I'm going are 'tight quarters' and I have background clutter to deal with too.
