If I posted a shot in my portfolio and in a side challenge, I'm going to assume I can't use it in the Feb. freestudy? LOLOL

Probably a stupid question, but still...one must learn these things ;) LOL

People actually do it pretty often... My best of 2007 had been posted to my portfolio, and I think I did it once in a monthly free study. As a rule I try not to post images I think may be my best-of-month, but if the month goes dry on me I might resurrect one, hiding it in my portfolio of course.

As long as the image has not been entered in an official challenge (side challenges are not official challenges) then you can use it in the Freestudy.

It is however, encouraged, that you hide the image in your portfolio in the lead-up to and during the voting.

I think as long as it hasn't been used in a previous challenge then you are ok to use it. Some still frown on this though but its up to you :)

I actually have these (STRANGE) mixed feelings about using it ROFL!!
I feel like I'm doing something bad if I use it, lolol, like I'm cheating or something ROFL!! but then I also think "oh man, I love this one and I STILL Haven't ever entered a challenge"....

Yk...I think I will just go ahead and set up another shot, but curiosity did move me to ask...

Thanks for superquickfantastic replies :P

Another thing you may have to watch out for is the "I've seen this before" effect. Sometimes that gives you a lower score than the shot deserves.

Yeah, that makes perfect sense! Oh well, what better excuse then to go ahead and get a new shot, right ;)??
