| There was a discussion awhile back about the largest Canon lens. Can anyone remember where that was? I have looked thru the forums and can not find it. |

1200 mm. Don't remember the aperture.

Well, there's this monster from Sigma, but even with the 2x converter it's still a bit shorter than the Canon. |

Just missing a sensor apparently...

| I wouldn't get one if I could afford it :P the camera looks like a pimple at the end of that thing. It's like going hunting with tank. geeesh, not mention the back pain tying to cary it, and try to protect during a bear attack :P |

| If memory serves, don't they also have a 1600mm that is not available to the general public? I seem to remember reading an article by an 'industry type' who had some fun with that and a canon vid cam which had a 6x crop... |
