I really wanted to use this for the leading lines challenge, but noticed at the last second that it was basic editing... I have a bad habit of not noticing that until it's too late... hence the dq's I've attained. Anyway, I would love to see what everyone would have said about this pic if it was in that challenge... thanks!

I had the good fortune of getting press creds for the Obama Rally last week in Alexandria, Va.

I would love some views and comments. Since these are for the paper no editing has been done.

There are a few more on my profile page

It was pretty simple. I used a Photoshop sepia mask on the picture.

It has been well received and I have even sold a print of it. The old-timey look is popular for subjects like this.

Here are more of this subject taken over the past 30 years -- some originally in B&W, some in color, and some changed to B&W or sepia

Just liked the natural grunginess and lighting.

I appreciate it. I agree with you that it's not "perfect." But I also agree that's what I enjoyed about it. That's why I processed it the way I did, to give it a different feel. Thanks again for your kind words.

Caught this guy in the wild hanging out on the banks of the Mississippi River near Clarksville, MO. Beautiful drive up 79 if you ever get to do it. Tons of eagles for those who may have a tele lens. I didn't, but my 18-200 VR did a pretty good job from so far away. Thanks in advance for your comments!

Was hoping this would have gotten more views/comments. Venice is twisty/turny, and the buildings all seem askew and leany... my impression of that was put into this photo.

Wow, getting comments already! Thank you all so much!

I also have this one, if you are interested in looking :)
