Many heard and read up on and even participated in the America 24/7 photo assignment. I did also.

I got an email from them today wanting to know more info on the art work in one of my photos that I submitted. It has been selected to be in the America 24/7 state Book for Texas, that will be out later this year.

This is my image that will be in the Texas book

"Virtuoso" is the name of the art work created by Houston artist David Addickes and is located in front of the Lyric Centre in downtown Houston at 440 Louisiana.

I am still very excited about this and will be for a long time.

I know its not the best photo I have done, but its getting published....

Congratulations for being published later in the year. Great to have a DPCer represented. That's a very neat looking sculpture any more pictures?

I just can't want to get the California one. Any DPCers getting published in that one?

I have seen Virtuoso many times, and you did a great job on the positioning and angle. Terrific shot.

Congrats James !

thanks everyone.... I was not too happy with the shot, it was done pretty quickly and I only took about 10 or so shots for different exposure settings and different angles...but I sent it in anyway figuring I would never hear from them again.....so you never know what may come of your so-so shot.

I am kind of amazed they chose the pic (nothing bad about it-I like it), but when I looked through the "big" book of 24/7, it seemed pretty much every picture had humans in it. Unfortunate, because only one I submitted had a human. (C:

I can only imagine how cool it is to be published in a book like that. My 2 goals this year in photography are to be in the big America 24/7 book, if they do it this year, and to get a new camera.

Congrats again - Bob

I got a bit of good news on Saturday. America 24/7 people contacted me and they are going to publish one of my pictures in the Michigan book. I'm very surprised to hear this, and even more surprised by the image that they chose.

This is what they chose!

I did not feel it was one of the better ones that I submitted, but hey, who's complaining?

I hope they level it up and clean it up some. I reckon they must've been desperate for something if they chose this one. At any rate, I'll take it.

Anyone besides Jab119 and I make the state books? There has to be more DPC'ers to add to this list.

Congratulations to all.

I too received an email from America 24/7 requesting more information on one of my photos that was selected for the New Hampshire book. It certainly wasn't my best shot, or my favorite, but if they want to publish it I'm thrilled!
