I WOULD like to play with this but would like a bigger file. Would you be interested in e-mailing me a larger version?
PS: I will try anyways, but have to work this morning and won't be able to try till later...

Here's my take... a 10-minute edit.
I did the following:
- Corrected curves for a warmer tone and contrast adj.
- Ran shadow/highlight tool (shadows only)
- Burned the background a bit
- Ran FocusMagic
- USM, very gently (amt=50%, rad=0.5px, thresh=2)
- Applied "soft focus"
- Quick mask of faces, not 100% density, highly feathered
- Apply gaussian blur, 4px radius
- Fade gaussian blur to 40%
- Deselect masked area
- Cloned out a couple small branches

Got it in my e-mail now. Walking out the door to feed pizza to two school lunch programs but will work on it as soon as I get back! (early pm) |

I think it's a bit fruitless for a print/final but this is what I would do give 10 mins on photoshop.
Before:
After:
Quick mask on the BG, then that was softened slightly and some contrast added - mixed with the foreground again and color correction as orig has a tiny yellow cast. A tiny unsharp as always and a dash of levels & curves.

Jonpink, or after adjustments gave this shot a really nice 3D feel. Good job, I am going to mess with this when I get home.

Not as good IMHO as the others, but it's one of the things I seem to be able to pull off. Different levels of gaussian on the background to give it a deeper feel, played with contrast/balance, B/W, quadtone to give it an earthy feel. Hope it works for someone...

Good gracious, it's perfect the way it is. Give it a 2-3% contrast push - _maybe_. It's wonderful.
