Does anyone know of any textures or overlays that I could use that have writing or some sort of fancy script?

That's a good idea - with the writing. I'll have to take a look if I don't have something I can take a photo of to use for a filter.

It's easy enough to create your own. Just create a background in whatever colour you want and add a text layer with the text that you want. If you want letters cut off then just crop it to what you want.
