Help! Hey folks I bought Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 today. Excited I tore into the box like a child on Christmas morning, Loaded it....... to find a lot of stuff Oh boy fun! So I looked for the Instruction book..... (booklet oh crap) nothing like the novel that came with my D300 and nothing in it either! So getting to the point now apparently I need a book to show me what the hell I'm doing so what do you suggest?

I have always found Scott Kelby books very useful.

Thank you, I don't want to sound ungrateful but that book is pre-order until march 16th. I was hoping to get something tomorrow.

My brother gave me a book a couple of years ago - I don't use it much anymore, but it went through the steps on how to get comfortable. It is by PC Magazine called Digital SLR Photography Solutions (Sally Wierner Grotta and Daniel Grotta are the authors) - it covers DSLRs and also has has a step by step on processing using Adobe programs (including Elements). It's not too bad and actually has screen shots for your use. It is something to get you started...

edit for spelling

Actually I find that any Scott Kelby books are very useful, maybe you get the book from the previous version. At least it will get you started.

I have photoshop elements 7.0, and it too did not come with any instruction book. There is a book you can get at any large bookstore (I got mine at Barnes and Nobles) called "The book that should have came with the box" and it gives every detail about photoshop. They had one for 6.0 too! I love it, and have learned a lot from it. IT has step by step instructions on how to do things with pictures. Its great.

PSE 6 is the current version - if you have 7, you must be pretty special.
