I think you can still enter an image that was previously posted in a thread as long as the thread wasn't titled "Hey, which one should I enter?" I think you just have to hide it...right??

Yeah, knock yourself out, Tim. I won't tell anyone. ;-)

Ever wonder why people use short words? It took me four tries at Google to come up with what I hope is the right spelling of: reminiscing (and I still don't think I got it right)

Anyhow, I was thinking about our time in the Haight on Saturday and pulled up this image from a while back when I was fooling around with this technique:

This is where we waited in the Haight for PhilipDyer to park the car. A long, and spirited process, you can be sure. A brave man, that Philip.

When I first took this image, it was on a Sunday, and there was nobody around. Wow.

In any event, I tried mightily to simulate a bowling ball in the middle where the pavement is, but wasn't good enough to do it.

Be my guest...
:-))

Hello Everybody,Here is the responce from the site council:

Hi Tim,
While there's no way to keep those who may have seen it from voting, there's no rule that you cannot enter something that's been seen. There is a possibility that a few might vote it lower if they feel you've broken anonymity. You'll need to assess that risk, based on how many views it got prior to you either pulling it down or hiding it.

Regards,

kirbic

Wow VERY nice pictures! I was in good company... hope some of the talent rubs off on me! I'm much better at shooting racing cars & motorccycles! Just a note on the photo site for the:
//www.phildyerphotography.com/gallery/4627137_NJKxb

It took me a few tries to get through the shots as the site kept hanging? When I saw them I really liked them!...although your lens' seems to have some sort of abberation that makes me look a bit FATTER than usual! Ha Ha !

I hope that SmugMug is working smoothly now because I just finished posting all of my pictures from the trip that Aleks and I took to the San Francisco Body Art Expo. There were a lot of fun people there and almost everyone was eager to have their picture taken. That was a very fun day. :-)

HaHa I was able to see them all. And will go back for a longer look. The site is working just fine for me.

On that last shot, Aleks is looking a little dazed, as if to say "what have I just seen!"

good shots, Philip.

So that's what we were doing while you were at the gallery, Alice. Do you wish you had joined us? ;-)

But, hey, I got my part of the AWE Gallery 2nd Anniversary
Spring Show up and ready for our opening next Sunday.

Come, if you have a chance.
And I mean anyone who happens to be in San Francisco next weekend.

Awesome pictures, Aleks! You were right about that kind of processing working well for the body art shots. I just posted all of mine without processing, but now that I've seen your shots I want to go back and play around with them. :-)

Hello Aleks, I have to say that you were correct in suggesting the "composure" on the "Haight & Ashbury" photos, as yours were much better than any I got! 20~20 hindsight would have me as the student paying significantly more attention to the 'Master' focusing on all that you were doing! You do indeed have the "Photographers Eye". I look forward to another opportunity to share your company again. I'm sure to pay more attention to what is going on around me, and the same holds true for each of the others in the get togehther! I've much to learn! It was a pleasure meeting you and all of the others in the group!

Welcome Back, whenever!
Tim

We sure did get some great mileage out of labuda's trip to San Francisco late in March. The locals had a chance to get together and play in our own town, we got to meet Aleks, we all found some good images and Aleks ends up on the front page with the Blue.

This nice recap of the day from blue moon puts the frosting on the cake. Great shots, Leah.

Thanks for posting all those pictures, Leah! I'd love to see the triptych of all of us taking pictures of each other. :-)
04/14/2008 09:41:30 PM · #96
ok can someone help me with the triptych? I'm no expert here, I have all three images but they are all different sizes, I made mine and philip's shot the same size w/out any real loss of quality but labuda's image is about 3 times smaller that the others even though it's the original, I have no clue what I'm doing wrong...I also just don't have a clue in general though. help?

Alice, Regarding your "NEW" profile picture... the secret I've found for getting good pictures is to be sure and put an attractive subject in it!

Awwwwww, thanks, rasai.

Now, about triptych stuff. Seems to me we should get philipdyer to do a tutorial on this one. what do you think, Leah?
