I don't know about trolls but a little less friendly with the score button might apply. Been on a steady decline and now I'm just trying to keep above a 6.5.

Blimey there are some seriously good entries in this lot - and some of the best are hiding behind modest thumbnails!
Very pleased with my score, but with the strength of the competition I doubt a mid-6 will even be top 20.

Yep, me, too. Dropped .25 in the last 16 votes. Not even counting a 1, the average of the other 15 is more than a full point below the votes that came before.
But if everyone's seeing similar things, then it's just a bunch of tough voters, so no problem.

Actually, the score has been quite a ride.
From vote 68-80, it went up .18 and from vote 80-96 it dropped .25.

Mine has and it normally wouldn't bother me. I thought this pic was good for a 5.5 or so, but it started out sky high. Up until last night I had hopes for a new PB, but now looks like it won't even make my front page. :-( I am still very happy with the score, the comments are great, and I got a fave. Life is good.

If I haven't got to your bird yet, I will. I'm very much enjoying voting in this challenge. For one thing, I get to see birds I've not seen before, which is very nice, and for another, there are simply some very good and some very interesting shots in this challenge!
But I did spend my afternoon/evening looking at Volkswagens, which strangely enough are not made in Germany - at least not all of them. I'm trying to decide between the very nice, reasonable, useful and handy Jetta, or the completely frivolous and somewhat impractical EOS that has the coolest freakin' convertible hardtop I've ever seen. It automagically folds down into the trunk. Hence, no trunk space and the golf clubs and trolley would have to go in the very small back seat.... and did I mention the turbo engine? But I think I'll probably go for the Jetta - much more practical. And I'm an old lady - we aren't supposed to drive sporty fast cars. We're supposed to drive sedans. :-) I'll be back to the birds shortly! |

Bird + convertible = poopy mess -- so consider that before you make your car decision. On the other hand, regarding old ladies and sporty cars, don't forget the song "The Little Old Lady from Pasadena" -- certainly would do wonders for your image (and self-image)! Good luck. |

I've known one rally car driver in my life. She was a woman I worked with who was at least 60. :)
