I don't know how you do this, but you commented on mine with the exact thought that I had when I decided to enter this shot.. as close as the words you used in the comment were the exact words in my mind while editing the shot! Thank you again!

BTW - thanks again scarbrd for telling me of this DPC contest when we met at Hermann Park Saturday.
Glad to see you joined up as a full member. I has serious lens envy when I saw you walking around with the 500mm F4L. Talk about a lens for photographing birds, geez.
BTW - My score from the same park in steady at 6.55
Lens envy is one of the 7 deadly sins - another topic for DPC! LOL

I was hoping for a lot better (like a ribbon) however it is still well above my 5,7 average. I do not mind losing to some of the amazing entries I have seen in this contest, so I guess I am ok with it. |

Just finished voting. There are some absolutely wonderful images in there - and the average is very high. Great work folks, very very few lemons (like about 3 in nearly 200 photos)

Worse than that, my number of votes hasn't changed but my score just took a big hit. Somebody must have just significantly revised their vote on my entry downward :( |

Same here. Lost nearly .05 with 2 adjustments and no new votes. At this stage in the game its more than just someone adjusting their vote down 1. Meanies. ;) |

On the plus side, a 3 doesn't hurt me much. :-)

If you didn't get a comment, you didn't enter! What I really noticed was how well the backgrounds - color and composition - supported their birds. And I enjoyed seeing some I've never seen, and unique presentations of your everyday birds. Really a very enjoyable challenge to leisurely view!
