First photo, for week 5 (January). An old one, similar to e301's; hope to be more up to date soon - learning BW conversion in the Gimp, hours of fiddling.

Week#2: Black & White Conversion of a great Portrait session with Jessica, one of the employees of 180 Fitness where I work-out about three times each week doing Body Pump/Body Step classes...(I added a little omni light centered on the bridge of her nose.)

Bye everyone!

We're leaving town until Sunday night. It will be fun getting back and getting caught up on everyone's new posts :)

We're going to meet a couple of our good friends from Colorado in Huntsville, Texas where they will be doing a 100-mile run! On foot . . . without stopping. We'll be their cheerleaders and support crew (and photographer of course :). Too bad we didn't have a psychiatrist to bring along. . .surely something must be troubled in one's mind to want to do something that insane, huh? :)

Hmmmm. . . might be good material for my next week's black and white :)

See ya Sunday night!

Huntsville's an interesting place. Eerie prison. "without stopping".... MORE POWER TO THEM! That's incredible! Look forward to your images! Have fun!

Here's my number 2. I've been too busy lately, even for photography :( So this is a redo of something I took in January. It needs something in the conversion, but I'm not sure what. Any suggestions are appreciated!

#2 (week 5) entry: A bit abstract, but it appealled to me (and is only the 3rd photo I have taken with brand spanking new 40D). The low sun looked lovely coming through the trees; I defocussed and here you have it. Post-processing - conversion from RAW using DPP, Channel mixer at 60% red and 40% green, border, resize and save for web.
