Hi All,

I posted a while back about needing a wedding photographer. Some amazing folks from the UK responded and offered to shoot it for free if we paid for their travel from over seas. Unfortunately that is out of our budget. I've begun researching the Los Angeles wedding photographer circuit and I would rather have passionate DPCers instead. If anyone wants to build their wedding portfolios and would like some good DPC karma...gimme a shout. You'll be invited to the wedding and rehersal dinner (stuffed chicken breasts with kalamata olives, mushrooms, lemon-butter sauce). I will even pay for your hotel stay if you want to travel down from somewhere.

If you've ever thought about trying to shoot a wedding, but were too worried about missing those "must-have" shots, this is a great opportunity. NO PRESSURE. Come, shoot your heart out, gain some valuable experience. My fiance and I will sign release forms so you can use the shots for whatever you'd like (stock photos, personal website portfolios).

All I ask is that you take a ton of pics and give me copies of ALL the originals. Any interest out there? The wedding is June 28th.

Thanks everyone!

Hey Chris, long time no see.

I'm talking to the wife now about a road trip if you'll consider me.

Ken

PMing you.

I know Chris has helped other DPCers himself...so this would be a great gesture if there are any aspiring pro-photogs out there who want wedding experience AND want to help out a very nice young man. Chris, the lemon butter sauce sounds awesome!! :)

I would totally take you up on this if I was closer to LA. But I'll be in Minnesota for the summer, sorry! Maybe if I find a really cheap flight, but don't count on it.

Edit to add: Congrats on the wedding by the way.

Hi Ken!

How are you? How's your son doing? I was reaching out more to the local guys in the area...don't you still live in Louisiana? Hope all is well!

You know, I might consider lending a hand if it's needed, but not as a primary photographer. I have never shot a wedding before, so I definitely would not feel comfortable as primary.

Feel free to pm me.

Doing fine Chris. I just thought I would offer. If you don't get anyone to help, just give me a shout.

Hope everything is going well for you!

As a bump.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Chuck, I'll PM you shortly. It looks like we are going to hire my coworker's friend that runs a photography business. That guy and his fiance shoot fashion photography and have done quite a few weddings as well. We still would LOVE to have a DPC member come and shoot just for backup/fun/experience. Anyone thats interested, just let me know.

Simms, you have no idea how much we would love to have you at the wedding...we just can't afford to pay for your travel :( If you find yourself craving an LA trip during the summer, let me know!

Keep those replies comin!

Chris
