I think it would be interesting to have number of forum posts under the name in the threads. What do ya'll think?

| i actually like that there isn't a counter on this site. so many other sites i visit have them and several people there just post to see their numbers grow. |

i am part of a web site where you have counter of how many post you posted and accordingly your status is changed from say silver to gold to platinum etc.
Well no one post usesless just to increase counter but at one site i did notice this tedency of people getting excited at reaching 2000th post or 5000 the post and having reached higher status

It depends on what you consider unwanted or useless posts. We already have people who respond with just 'hehe' or 'lol' or ':P' etc. Quantity rarely means quality. Personally, I'm neither for or against it.

| I'm neither for or against either, but if I really want to know how much someone has posted, I can click on their name and see how often they post in their profile. |
