If it's raining I may drop out... have done quite a few GTGs at the museums recently.

Also, Kew, for me is out if it's raining. Yes, there are the wonderful glasshouses but, given that the entrance fee is quite a lot I want to go on days when I can take full advantage of the outdoors areas as well as the glasshouses.

Am hoping the weather will be wonderful!

I walk VERY VERY slowly :o( so I'll be the photographer you find first, a mile behind everyone else :o(

That said, there is a good chance I'll have my wheels so you'll need to look out for the poor ageing photographer carrying all my gear and pushing me...thats what best friends are for right Andi? ;o)

Oh! So I am a poor ageing photog now?? I did say I would take my turn pushing you, although I tend to lose all control on the downhill bits:)) The temptation to hitch a ride on the back of a runaway chariot is too much to resist:)

hey, I'm a sharing guy Talj so if anybody wants to share my duties (pushing/carrying) then let me know (I won't be offended). However, if we go on the eye I'll be the pusher (that gets on for free lol)

LOL Steve, have you seen them things that toddlers have on the back of pushchairs? Maybe I could get you one of them for the downhill bits...and some decent breaks....and a good seatbelt...looks like I have some shopping to do! ;o)

Thanks for the offer Steve, much appreciated. I'm sure Andi will be happy with all offers of help, plus it'd give me chance to chat to a few other people! ;o)

My Grand-daughter rides on the buggy board...a great idea, but I don't think anyone has adapted for a chariot!!

Maybe we could pitch the idea to people on Dragons Den? ;o)

My son-in-law and I already had that idea for a baby buggy that fits on the front of a chariot, now a buggy board as well? Who knows? :)

Just a mile off topic, but I know you'll all understand where I'm coming from...

Do you find that you do better in the challenges during the sunnier months? I've been waiting for the right light to shoot something for the Zeppelin challenge and I've got ideas, but without decent sunlight I'm concerned that they won't do well here at DPC in voting (seems like many outdoor winning shots need to be bright/warm colours).

I know cloudy/overcast days are like having one great big softbox, so shadow control might be easier but the overall eyecandiness (?!) is significantly reduced I think. Am I overthinking this, or should I sit this one out?

Is photography all about what you can submit to DPC?

Whats to say that we wont have a lovely sunny spring day with the odd fluffy cloud floating by? :o) And surely there is far more than just 'big city pics' to be found in London?

This is just MHO :o)

This was taken on the last London GTG back in December

and those who were there will agree it wasn't the most pleasant of days (weather-wise) and it got a blue ribbon in the `Hell` challenge.. so don't worry if it isn't sunny, I am sure plenty of good shots will be taken.

Was there any decision about name tags?

Do we have our names tattooed on our foreheads? :)

Any ideas?

Think name tags might be a good idea for this meet! There certainly seem to be a lot of us planning to attend, and you older folk need as much help as you can to remember things ;o)

Might do ;o)

How about I volunteer to sort the name tags out? I'll be as polite as possible with your name Steve ;o) Might need to PM a few people to find out their preferred name and names of any 'extras' who aren't here at DPC :o)

Seriously, if your all happy to leave me to it I shall have them there by 10am on the 16th ;o)

I'm happy, but then that's what us oldies are like. Food and sleep keep us happy:)

Actually Steve, I think it's past the time for your pils ;o)

To make things easier, anyone attending who wishes to have a name tag please either post here with the name you'd like on your tag (as well as your username) or send me a PM :o)

It could be SteveJ - Steve Jones

And motherlee - Beverley Jones

Or perhaps it could not be? I need to think about it first :))

as an 'oldie' meeting a new person from here requires me to remember 2 names (real and user), can we have both on the nametag please? and I might need my address and location of my car on the reverse ;)

I'm looking forward to spending a little of my spare time (yes, I have FAR too much of it!) on these tags ;o)

It's not so much that I want him back Steve...it's just we have 2 holidays booked after the GTG and both require Andi to drive ;o)
