"The Hidden City" Results Recalculated

Please note that the results of The Hidden City (Challenge 791) have been recalculated. The entry previously ranked in 3rd place was disqualified due to ghost accounts and vote manipulation, and the offending user has been banned.

What did he use ghost accounts for if he had no votes given? Nice catch SC! BTW his account is still available.

He voted from the ghost accounts.

His account shows as available, but it's suspended for several decades.

Too bad. His fotos are kinda nice and prolly woulda faired well all on its own.

Since the Hidden City challenge was on the front page, we took immediate action so that challenges ribbons would be corrected as quickly as possible.

We're discussing the other challenges and the effect of any votes cast. To whatever extent recalculations are deemed appropriate and practical, we'll make them all at once, and post an appropriate announcement at that time.

I'm sorry to hear this. It's one thing to be disqualified for making a mistake, but cheating is just depressing. Can someone remind me what the subject was? I can't remember the DQd photo.

It's really a shame this happens. Some of that guys images were pretty good. If only he could have let them stand on their own they might have done well...

Justified to be sure. Though (and correct me if I'm wrong) wasn't a certain somebody only suspended for a year on account of very similar conduct.

I'm sure neither user would be particularly interested in re-joining, but consistency is a wonderful thing.
