No, not another frilly panties thread!

In August 2007 myself and Andi, Ecce Signum, took part in the BritBallRun in memory of Andi's daughter, Rose. We decided to call ourselves Team SMARTies as the car we were taking part in was a SMART car ;o) The SMART theme didn't stop there as we decided our costumes would take on a SMART look too. Here's the proof...

[thumb]628630[/thumb] [thumb]628632[/thumb]

So, after a great 3 days in a ballgown and Andi in top hat and tails we came a respectable 5th and raised over £5,000 for Rose's Tribute Fund. We had so much fun along the way that we've decided to do it again in August 2008!!

Here's where you guys come in!

We will still be travelling in Andi's SMART Brabus Roadster Coupe and we will still be called Team SMARTies...

But we need you guys to come up with some cool suggestions on what our outfits should be this time! So, fellow DPC'ers, what should we wear??

Well, if you're still going for the smart look, some peole might consider a cap and gown, like for commencement, would look smart.

Now thats just not fair on anyone! Least of all me...you guys would only have to see Andi from a distance, I'd be stuck in a car with him like that for 3 days....noooooo!! ;o)

I did forget to mention that over the 3 days in 2007 is was VERY hot (by UK standards) and even in the ballgown I was 'suffering'! As much as birthday suits would be the best suggestion so far if its warm it's still a no! So, anymore ideas?! ;o)

Maybe something like mad scientists, white lab coats and truly messed up hair.

Or go for the professor look with tweed jackets and smoking pipes.

For two space suits?? It'd be bars off the whole time...I have enough trouble getting out of the car without a space 'hat' on!! You seriously think we could spend 3 days in ikle brcX in space suits...and both still be talking to one another at the end of it? ;o)

I think I understand Mark, smart wear from yesteryear as in the tweed and goggles for the guy and big flowing dresses and bonnet for the lady? (Talj will love this)

Ever watch "Get Smart"? Spy's with funny gadgets. Pure spoof & camp? I personally loved the bubble thing they pulled over their heads when they needed to make sure no one could listen. Maybe make some neckties to look like a wearable computer. Max and Agent 99, woot.

How about James Dean and Marilyn Monroe, or Burt Reynolds and Sally Field (Smokey and the Bandit), or you could go in drag as Thelma and Louise.

Marilyn Monroe...erm...no!

Now Andi in drag...that would make for a quite comical few days (for me anyway!) lol
