I'm seeing the same thing - there's a flash of the previous photo before it transitions to the next. Other than that and the text positioning problem, I think your site looks great.

Really?? I have no idea what that is or how to fix it...I don't have that. What browser are you using?

Hmm... It does it on mozilla and the new internet explorer (7?) for me, but it looks smooth on firefox. I wonder if it has something to do with the version of java that I'm running on any of those... I'm not sure who you're using for your website, but maybe you could google some forums or something, someone else may have had this problem too

i personally like the second (newer) design better, it looks more professional with the off-centered positioning.

I like the newer one better. However, there are a few things which are a little distracting to me:

1. The gap between the images and the right side menu is a little large on my browser.
2. The copyright info on the bottom left side is a little distracting since it's the only text on the left side. I'd be tempted to put another horizontal line like you have under your name on the bottom and put the copyright info right aligned under that.

Anyway, great re-design!

I have to side with the original version. To me, it's more classy, looks more balanced and less amateurish...there's simply something about the second design I just don't like. Change the fonts if you wish, but I like the centered version much better.

I like the second site. You've done an excellent job.
