Ok, I'll ask the burning question... While I totally dig what happened here, why the heck did you post it in this 4 year old thread?!? ;)

See Forum Rule #3 ... :-)

Because I was trying to find an appropriate forum thread to ask this question, so I picked 'Site Updates' (in case there was a change and I had missed the notification) ..at least it got the attention of a few people and I got my answer! :-)

Thanks for the nice review. I had forgotten this little trick.
Now I can read the screen without
navigating around my nose prints from squinting too close.

Well, was it the wheel+ or the cntrl+0 you tried? If not the latter, cntrl+wheel yourself small or big again then hit cntrl+0 and watch it go back to neutral. VERY handy when you need to read small print.

Cntrl + 0 (zero) will return everything to native size.

Try holding down the Ctrl Key and the + key at the same time...it should "size" up..I do this all the time...especially when I'm copy n paste'n

I do that all the time with my laptop. The touchpad is super sensitive and it bugs me out.

I didn't change anything, in fact I was just adding titles to my photos in zenfolio. Then decided to have a break. It's strange as other websites are fine, and I even checked my settings and put the print size to medium, in case, only to revert back to what I originally had. Did all that before I put this query up. Hopefully I can work out what is wrong.

I don't think it's changed -- maybe check to make sure you didn't change monitor resolutions while editing.

It would be cool to have a Tuesday Open Challenge as one Minimal, and one Expert - but both with the same subject. It would be really interesting to compare results, and both camps are catered for.

That is such a cool idea, also if people were allowed to enter both, you'd have to use the same basic capture, interesting to see how some people would treat the same photo using different approaches

I like this idea too!

Speaking of Expert editing, Minimal has been way overdue ;)

There's been on every single week.

There's nothing preventing you from entering any challenge using Minimal editing ... probably 90% of my entries into Advanced challenges use only Basic-legal editing ...

I do the same thing (to my detriment at times). Still, it would be nice to meausre our pre-processing skills against a field of entries that ALL have minimal editing.

Nah. It'll still measure the same things the other challenges measure. That is those who are most creative, have the best equipment and or the best subjects will prevail. The creative part is the only thing out of the three that even speaks to the photographer's abilities and you'll need more of it if you have inferior equipment or subject matter. Even then you'll still need to show that you shot it with what looks like very good equipment cuz the voters are not going to care if you was creative in the setup unless it's as clear as day in your photograph.

Now maybe if everyone had to shoot the same subject with the same equipment I'd be more inclided to agree with you.

The font is just so small you cannot see it on the home page. My only blue was of "The Emperor's New Clothes".
