After nine views with no comments (not even a "tough luck, keep trying"), I decided to re-submit my Week 2 photo, recropped and with some background elements blurred. Although the wall looks a bit streaky (especially evident in the thumbnail), I'm happier with this version:

Week Four
We shot lots of nudes, inside and out, but I'm trying to keep this clean for the general viewers. So, enjoy.

BTW, for those that can't stand it, she has some in my nudes folder.
Edit: Here's a indoors one from today too... I really love it!

week 3:
it doesn't look half as good here as before uploading ( losing contrast and sharpness - tried to tweak both a hundred times and nothing seems to work). What did I do wrong? I used Aperture only for raw conversion and resizing. Any tips?
Edit: it looks much better here

Here is my Week 3.
The Camera Man
There is something about this portrait that really gets me. The look in the eyes and slight smirk to the lips. No cropping...minimal editing.

Just adding some thumbnails for the past four weeks - having the images on my blog makes this a bit more cumbersome than it would be if I was using my DPC portfolio.

Tez, I wish you would! However, be forewarned, the thread doesn't seem very active. I wonder if the Weekly B&W side-challenge might be more engaging.
Anyway, I spent this week concentrating on architecture, but of all the incidental "portraits" I took this week, this was my favorite:
Week 4:
EDIT: Yeah, I know, not really a portrait. :-/
