I didn't enter, but thought about this one.

not exactly an outtake, more of a re-edit for advanced editing
edited - - my actual entry -
And yes, I know its a bit of a shoehorn to enter this in an "everyday beauty" challenge but hey I bathe most days so I couldn't resist...

I was going to enter this but entered this instead .

I entered this one after hours of debate and indecision.

Maybe I should have gone with one of these.

I like the fence in it, Barbara. The others are good shots to show off the murals, but the fence adds a little something to me.

At first I had this one submitted,

but afterwards, I read the definition of wabi-sabi, and didn't think it fit the challenge, so I removed it, and went out and took this one,

but I never got a chance to enter it. I still like them both though =)

moatz - that second one would have fit in the challenge. i bet it would have done well. i like it.

bamartin - i like the bottom left one in yours. i like the pipes in it and the way the mural was painted over them as if they weren't there.

This outtake is almost the same as the one I did enter that did so well for me, but it is pulled back a touch more so that the bumper and headlight are not cut off. I went back and forth and switched my file several times before the submission period ended. I thought this one was technically superior, but I felt the subtle shadows on the car worked better on the other one and I just liked the slightly closer view a bit more. I'd be interested in opinions about my choice.

This one was from the same session, and I considered it, but realized pretty early on that the view of the nose of the car was "It". It makes a nice desktop background at a larger size.

Another one I worked on from the same session, but gave up on it. I was not pleased with this no matter what I did. I haven't even put this one on Flickr.
