Im getting an ITouch for Xmas, and while watching you tube videos of it, I discovered something called Jailbreak--

While I'm not advocating any sort of hacking whatsoever, the ability to play NES roms on that lil' bugger intrigues me, plus the All the extra stuff that is available--

Anyone have any experience with this jailbreak thingy?

I'd be hesitant to try it. Some hacked iPhones became useless iBricks after a later Apple update interacted with the hack. Rumor has it Apple is working on some cool games for the touch that might be released at MacWorld (January 15th).

Yes, I did it with mine...I soon after restored my ipod to factory settings however...

It is just not what the product was created for...it works fine for now and everthing, but it was not a risk I was comfortable with taking in order to play a few games on it.

It does ork though if you plan on getting the use out of it. Just know that it requires a bunch of steps, so clear an afternoon so you can really sit down and follow online instructions to the detail.

Good luck

I'd love to get some games for my iTouch! I haven't heard of or tried the jailbreak thingy .. don't intend to either after what Scalvert said.
