I have this lens and really like it!

the only thing I could say bad about it is that I would like to see bigger aperture.

for that I bought a 24mm f/2,8 since I dont have the cash to get a 24-70mm L f/2,8 just yet:/

That 28-135 is very sharp and a good all around lens and I would recomend it, that is if you dont want to spend a hell of alot more money on a L series Lens

The only thing I know is that EX is better than IF when it comes to Sigma lenses.
I'd personally like to know about this lens

I've got this lens and it's been great. If you need more reviews of this lens or other lenses, check out Fred Miranda's camera reviews. It's got a good zoom range which I like for all around shooting. if you want a wider/tele zoom, then ti's probably best to invest in one of each. I'll try to get some sample pics up as soon as I can.

It's something I did not anticipate with IS, but now that I understand why it happens, I can avoid it for the most part. If it means I get the shot, but have to contend with a mall defect, I'll take that, since I can make this less obvious in post-processing.

Thanks for the samples. Your reasoning makes sense for why it happens too. It isn't a reason that I'd avoid IS as it can get you handheld shots you might otherwise miss, but it's good to be aware of what can happen.

If anyone is interested I am selling my Canon EF 28-135 3.5-5.6 IS USM lens in ebay including 6 filters from B&W: Polarizer, infrared, skylight, UV-haze, orange gradient and Soft Pro. Also in the package is a Novoflex retro ring with adapter ring suitable for the 28-135 lens. With this ring you can reverse the lens on the camera body for mega macro photos! All the lens functions operate the same in the reverse postition. I'll also ship overseas. I've written the description all in German though, you'll find it all here
