Not sure what the protocol is for YAPPIE nominations but may I nominate posthumous for a YAPPIE? His comments in the Time Lapse challenge were classic, relevant, bizarre, and frickin funny all at once. Go check them out!

Thank you for pointing that out, I just read a lot of them, they were priceless.

That's about as out of the box as they come. SO subtle! One of my high scores for the challenge.

Yappie nomination for Karmat who seems to have left a comment on every entry I've looked at lately (including my own), generally finding something positive to say while often offering a suggestion as well.

OOBIE nominations (from rivers and streams, in no particular order) for:

xianart

skewsme

posthumous

hipychik

My work here is done (at least for now).

Best,

Bruce

This one was one of my top scores given, I think it's OOBIE-worthy:

I am not sure ... but ... I think Ivory has not yet been awarded a YAPPIE and she is constantly yapping in comments about photos of mine and I see her a LOT when I am about to comment on other peoples' photos.

I think her comments are kind yet specific and she gives a really refreshing outside look to our images.

... not to mention these stats ...

# Comments:Made: 3,491
# Helpful: 3,078

AND ... she seems to be living in Ontario, Canada ... where I was born and raised even though I am in Belgium for 8 years now ... well ... It should be obvious why I nominated her.

I nominate this combination of humor and solid technicals by Rando D300 for the OOBie:

Yappie nomination for glad2badad. Click on his "comments made" to see many pages of thoughtful and helpful comments. These are sometimes technical suggestions, sometimes aesthetic notes, and sometimes a personal reaction, but he is always careful not to make assumptions beyond what he can see. His kind contributions make DPC a better place for all.

If a non-Team sucker can add to this, I second a Yappie for glad2badad. I've received some very helpful comments and advice from him. It's not always what I would prefer to hear, but I don't participate here to get cheap praise.

I would like to nominate JerseyGenie for this photo in the Abandoned Buildings challenge. I like how the black broken out area of the window looks like a figure entering the building, as her title, "Breaking and Entering" suggests. I also thought it would score higher than 5.0980.

Some great stuff in the Yellow challenge; have to nominate this one right away, though, it's positively eye stopping:

"Isolated" by the99

To quote our fearless leader, "Wow."
