As an early holiday present, and because there are so many great photos on DPC to choose from, Langdon has raised the limits for favorite photos and photographers to 2500 and 500 respectively.

Enjoy, and go favorite some great photos and photographers.

Don't worry, everybody hates you, anyway, LOL.

Now...can we get the resolution limits raised to somewhat of a 2007 standard?

Thanks Langdon, now I can go wild, haven't been doing that for a while.

As soon as you buy all of us with laptops new ones? Mine are only 768 pixels high.

What were the previous limits?

Terry, you really need to store those bell bottoms, lose the 8-tracks, chop the sideburns, get rid of that 1978 Datsun and invest a little in recent technology. ;)

Photographers had to be higher as I had 290 prior to the announcement. Maybe 300? Thanks, though, now I can pick some more!

Great! But, ehm, if you allow: Why is there a limit at all? I understand it kind of misses the point of having favorites if you have thousands of them, but only very few users would do this anyway.

And the memory requirements to store the favorites are tiny. I guess you could save tens of thousands of favorites using the memory for just one image...

I think it has more to do with increasing the overhead for database queries than actual data storage.
