Rock Garden. A local assignment I was assigned from DPC. More images soon.

Day 3

Yes a cardigan. I've been living in Bombay for the past 3 years and this is my first true winter being in North India for a few weeks. I hadn't ever felt the need for one and I just bought one just for the sake of wearing one. Nostalgia I guess.

I'm not figuring out how to leave a comment. And, I'd like to encourage you to become a member - there are only benefits!! AND you'd have a portfolio, which would make it easy to upload and receive comments.

That said - I love the rock garden shot - very cool shapes and good composition. I know what you mean about not experiencing winter. I have sweaters I've not worn in probably 15 years.

Day 3 -First dig my car out of the snow after work day. I cleared the door and got out my camera. Handheld at 2.5s (isn't VR wonderful). The vignetting is because my lens shade was about to fall off.

You can see the edge of a small pond just beyond my car. That's the pond where I took many of my "leaf in ice" photos in the November's texture and water side challenges. I'm really not ready for winter. Where is global warming when you need it. LG

One thing I should point out.....I didn't think to do it here, sorry!

These two are not a couple......these kids are so naturally comfortable with each other, and me, that they'll just throw their arms around each other and light up with big, easy, beautiful smiles.

It really is like a family......it's such a beautiful thing. Read about these two in the image description. Two more of "My Kids".

Day 4 and it is Christmas time in the city! We just had about 30 cm or about a foot of snow. Hopefully the sun will break through the clouds and I will get some outside shots soon.

Today I went to work with a heavy heart. One of my co-worker's son was shot and killed early Sunday morning. This experience has given me an attitude of gratitude and has made me realize how truly blessed I am. I hope that I will never take my loved ones for granted again. This is a picture of where I work but also of where he attended elementary school.

It's a sad and harsh world where children die.

My heart goes out to your friend.

Nobody should ever have to bury their child.
