How it would work is this. A person takes their original entry from a basic editing challenge (one that did NOT already ribbon or top ten). They retake the picture -- their own entry mind you -- and then they use advanced editing to resubmit.

Of course, I guess this would mean we'd know or could figure out the photographer before voting.

Bad idea overall? Any merit? Can anyone add to this to make it worthwhile?

Kind of like the Take Two challenge?

I like it. It could be the "Take Two II" challenge.

Except that is someone elses photo... I'd prefer not retaking the image, but that kinda violates the backbone of the site. :)

i've gone back and redone some of my old shots. i think it would be an interesting way to let photographers go back and share their growth. scoring would be harder since you would know the photographers name, but if we could be honest and rate based on the image as a stand alone or in light of improvement since the previous shot, i think it would be a great idea...

Great idea. However, due to the logistical and potential bias issues mentioned above, perhaps this would work best as a side challenge.

The original take two challenge was to take one of your own entries and reshoot it.

"Your entry must be taken this week and be a reshoot of one of your own entries."

I like the idea. I say let's do it (again.)

Oh cool! I should have followed the link, but since the other Take Twos were someone elses, it kinda seemed reasonable to expect they all were.
