Erik I was wondering why you were on my list in the thread but not written down.
Your idea is great. How about I assign you and you assign the next person. PM them and let them know and let's see if we can keep this going.

Avon Lake is fine, thanks. It is on the other side of town, but that is good as I have already been to many places on my own side of town.
Regarding the new assignment plan, that is good. I already PM'd dtremain to let him know of the plan, and will conjure up an assignment for him soon. |

Assignment for dtremain
Not sure if you live north or south of town, so I came up with one in each direction. So take your pick.
South there is Berne, Indiana:
Per the Berne Chamber of Commerce: "Visit the Swiss/Mennonite/Amish community nestled in the Wabash Valley. Enjoy flower lined streets, specialty shops and hospitality of this picturesque town. Shop, eat, and learn in our stores, restaurants, tour-friendly factories, museums and attractions. Visit Swiss Days Festival July 27-30 for 3-band polka fest, outdoor fun, entertainment, crafts, delicious food, art, quilt and car shows and sports competitions."
North there is Pokagon State Park:
"Natural lakes abound in this area and the park borders on Lake James and Snow Lake which offer abundant opportunities for boating, swimming and fishing.
What a thrill! That's what you'll say once you've experienced the quarter mile toboggan track at speeds of 35-40 miles per hour! The toboggan operates weekends from the Friday after Thanksgiving through February, with extended holiday hours."
--For this one we would want one of the photos to be the toboggans.

This is one of the most interesting, fun, and productive projects I have seen on DPC since I have been a member. Thanks for bringing this to the site. I had fun doing the project. And felt I learned from my assignment and your critique.

Exactly why I done this. It gets people to go places they normally don't and shoot some interesting shots. Thanks Scott you made this worthwhile for me. And thanks to all for keeping this going.

| I'm in too. I live in Big Lake, Alaska. We're a small town - no real landmarks, but we do have a history of a terrible fire in 1996 that burned a lot of area - with evidence of it still all around us today. |

 Dantzr - your assignment, should you choose to accept it, is downtown Muskegon, with an emphasis on the historic homes and their Christmas decorations.

| I just found this thread. I'm interested as long as there is no deadline if you're still taking applicants. Anywhere from metropolitan San Diego, CA to about 40 miles north, as in Oceanside or Julian, CA. I could maybe stretch it a bit further. I'm busy with a major singing/acting role in a musical play the next 2 weekends. |

Here's an assignment for NikonJeb: again, you have a choice.
1) Susquehanna River sights.
2) Hershey sights.
3) Breweries and wineries.
4) A digital lesson on the Amish.

OK guys and gals, I've hit the US element which was the easiest one for me. Now I'll see if I can expand my horizons further and learn more about the rest of the world.
Those assignments will be coming soon. Then I'll go back to the US and pick up the new participants.
