I'd love to visit Canada. My Memere was from Quebec. I'd like to see the western and eastern coastal areas.

Couldn'y really say as I live in a small country town and dont really have much dealings with officials or government. All I know is that compared with another country that I have lived in the lifestyle out here is very calm and laid back in general. I guess it's what you make it.

New Zealand is definately the coolest country in the world ;)

ETA If you want to improve your photography skills I hear Iceland is pretty good!

I think that it isn't too difficult. Prices are still ok but sometimes finding a builder to do it for you can be hard as there is a lot of building going on at the moment. Rules are pretty strict in the building industry but ultimately it is to your advantage.

Actually his comment was more related to traffic. The traffic in india is much careless compared to other parts of world.
For example you are going at 75 km/hr and suddenly you see a cow in the middle of the road.

ps: About the building part you are absolutely correct.

That's why I emigrated from So Cal to cape Cod when I retired; the weather bored me to tears, it was lousy for photography.

For a "humorous" reply, consider San Francisco; that's a whole "other country" from So Cal :-)

If I were actually moving out of the USA, I think New Zealand would be my first choice, or the Vancouver area of Canada, British Columbia in general. That's from a photographic standpoint...

I'd love to live in Tuscany (Italy) but the language barrier would kill me; WAY too hard to learn to lipread a foreign language :-(

If you like social life then I would never advise you japan. The least social people I have ever seen.
