I just thought this was the most funny thing I've seen for ages. I'd think the president of the magazine would be a little more sensitive to the plight of all the professional photograpers out there that are starving because of the micro sites. So funny. Here's the reference to the picture. It's little Ms Lise Gagne's picture.
My gosh. Why would he pick one of Lise's pictures? Even if it's on Getty, which I doubt, it would have her name attached. If only one name is associated with micro, it must be hers. Is he really so out of the loop that he wouldn't know who she was? And if he didn't get it on Getty, there is only one other place he could have purchased it.
Anyone care to take any bets on how long he'll be pres?
Feel free to discuss the implications.
p.s.
You know, I really did hesitiate before pushing the submit button. But my evil twin...

I don't get it

though I didn't get to look at the mag very close, I was still upset about that issue.

I was suppose to have an how2 article ran in that issue and it got canceled by the mag last minute.

I let my anger get the best of me, and threw it away

shame on me

perhaps it's a case of not doing what you preach. Mags are interested in getting cheap photos - even if they happen to be the mags telling photographers to sell their images for higher prices... like the left hand not know what the right hand is doing.

It seems to be a common trend, and something similar that happens on the boards here.

a post in one thread states: someone stole my image, or, someone is using my image for free :(, or, Make sure you don't give your images away for free...

and in other thread there is a conversation: Where can I get a some free editing software, or, how can I host a website for free, or, where are some free photoshop actions, tutorials, brushes...
