Not great... but this is what I came up with.

All comments are welcome! I really want to improve both my technique in shooting and in editing these types of shots.

I like the first and third one very much. The others are also nice, but have distracting backgrounds. I am not too fond of the fourth one, beacuse of the shadows in the model's face and becasue the sidelight lays too much emphasis on her skin structure.

I really like the third one a lot. The last one is pretty amazing but, call me old fashioned, i don't really like the effect on the top of the picture. I'd prefer let the bokeh of the lens take the viewer's eye to the face rather than distract the viewer with a pattern. I agree with Mark about the 4th one... i don't particularly like the tight crop of her face and then the negative space above. Maybe include a little more of the model so her face isn't so drown out by the blue. What lens were you using primarily for these? 50 1.8?

This was also a day out for me to test my new 28-75 f2.8, which has turned out to be a great lens! All except for the one with the pilar in were shot using that lens.
