I think we are all in the same line for this storm. I am so sick of winter.

PS the 8th would work for me also.

So who's all in for the 8th?
What time would be good to meet?

Why, breakfast time, of course!

Well, you knew that was coming ;-)

I should be available, barring unforeseen circumstances.

Who knows Prairie du Sac?

What time is a good time to start watching for eagles?

Where's a good spot for breakfast?

Name a time and place and I'll beat you all there.

I think the best place to meet would be the eagle veiwing overlook which is right downtown in Prairie du Sak. I think it is on Water street which is Business 12. Its a big parking lot with a veiwing area next to the river. Should be easy to find for everyone.
Its about a 2 hour drive for me so meet between 7:30 and 8:00 and look for a breakfast spot.

The Sauk-Prairie Eagle Inn sounds like a good breakfast spot.

I am going to see if that place shows up on my GPS. It should. I think.

So lets nail this one down.

meet at 7-730? (or earlier if you feel like getting up) in parking lot mentioned below.
Date March 8th.

Ill be there just before John. haha

Someone needs to phone ahead to the Sauk-Prairie Eagle Inn and make sure they have Rice Cakes and Whole Wheat Bagels for those of us who may or may not have a big breakfast listed on our Weight Watchers Schedule. MMMMM Rice Cakes. Yum!

Actually you could save some money and just eat a couple of paper napkins.

You wish. I'll be polishing off my second veggie omelette by then.

You should see what I'm eating. Rice cakes? Bah! Last night I made lemon garlic chicken and brown rice with a side of asparagus. Mmmmmm. Today I'm making lasagna which will be the basis of my take-to-work lunches for the following week.

You just made me decide something. Our spring Madison Zoo GTG will be topped off by a visit to my house for a BBQ and I can show you slobs some real good eatin!

lol, being that my wife is chinese and most of our meals here are based with veggies ginger garlic sesame and ev olive oils I know the healthy thing. But then I fall to the demons and hunt down a famous daves for a slobfest.

the weekend of may 3-4 looks like it is the only weekend I will be busy, I was all set to sign up for the Rocky Mountain School of Photography course being held in madison that weekend then my wife reminded me that my daughters Bday is on the 4th which haulted my plans for the photography course.

Ill be free any time in April or the rest of May.

Will be shooting video for two weddings a wedding in June for an old neighbor who is having a back yard wedding and they do not have alot of cash to hire anyone so I thought for a wedding gift I would film it free of charge. The other is a couple I shot a wedding for 5 years ago, renewing vows they want it filmed the same way the first one was done. I wanted to stop doing weddings, I hate them. But I think these will be fun so WTH. I am not equiped to shoot divorce's Didn't see that one coming. lol

I am free one extra weekend in June.

I almost had to bail on this one, I am doing a rush job video for our local hospital, They just formed a partnership with UW Health and the board members want to produce a video speech to be shown to all employees at this hospital as well as the UW, They need it finished by March 17th but have been very clear that they do not want to do any of the shoots on the weekends I have 4 seperate location shoots then when I am done I have to weave it into a video of the UW board members which thankfully they shot themselves. But the editing will take longer because I still have that extra footage to mix together. I also have the challenge of trying to match the lighting of the video I shoot to existing video from the UW. Wish me luck with this one, I bit two times more than I can chew this time. But this one is going to be a cash cow. Moooooooooooooola Mooooooooooooooola

Ok Ref GTG: This is only a week away, and I am looking forward to it, It is always fun and always have some good laughs, then there is breakfast, and it is a few hours without my kids bugging me. The weather forecast isn't looking very warm but I think it could probably be much worse so I will remain mute on the topic as to not jinx things. I will be wishing for a deep blue sky with no clouds.

Who is going to go?

We are meeting in the parking lot that Ed mentioned? Everyone still have each others cell numbers?

02/29/2008 12:30:32 PM · #138
At this point I'm in, and I don't see anything except a major winter storm that will make me bail.
02/29/2008 12:44:52 PM · #139
I sure hope we are done with that crap for the season. I had 3 inches of fluffy powder in my driveway again this morning.

I've still got the list at home. I'll PM it to everyone and let anyone with changes send out and update. I emailed Dave down in Iowa and got no reply. Looks like he's really leavin' DPC behind...

Colin, next Saturday at Prairie du Sac for Eagles. Details above in the thread. Loose plan to meet around 7:30 for breakfast and plans. We'll firm it up here this weekend.

Hey John - Thanks for the email. I haven't been following the thread (til now), so I appreciate it. I may be able to make it. I'll know later in the week. Got me a new canon 100-400 to play with... :)

Thanks for the e-mail, John. I'd really love to go, but I guess I won't be able to this time - I have to work Fri night, so I'll just be getting off work when you are meeting, and I'll need to get some sleep. I may be going to Iowa, as was first planned, later on Saturday, so maybe I will be able to get some eagle shots.

The 8th is my daughter's 6th birthday party...so I'm out. Have fun and I'll look forward to the Farmer's Market outing in Madison!
