Definately. Also, if somebody wants to drive down some weekend for the day just let me know.

I will certainly be taking you up on this offer before winter ends I am sure the others will also. Perhaps now those who could not make it to this one due to something other than the snow storm, will be able to make it next time.

We just got an email lastnight with special offers for the Grand Harbor Resort (where ironworker stayed last weekend) rooms for under 80 dollars, the special lasts through Feb... So if we can gather another date and try this again, hopefully the weather will cooperate.

I'm up for a trip, as long as it doesn't interfere with playoff football.

I found hotel deals in the high 40's for my aborted effort to join you last weekend. My choices didn't have water parks tho...

for last week it was going to be just myself and the wife. so the waterpark was not a must. This time however the kids would probably make the trip. Then my wife won't have to fuss about standing around watching a bunch of idiots taking pictures in the cold. haha. She can sit around the pool with the kids and relax while I go stand in the cold. Half price rooms at the resort help in this decision also.

Shall we aim for early to mid Feb?
Maybe start a new thread and welcome all of the DPC world to join in on the fun ?

Is there a ground hog day celebration around that area? Feb 2nd is open for me.

I'm good with the weekend of Feb. 2 & 3rd. I'm traveling from Jan. 23 through the 28th (vacation, a wedding in Mexico), and again from the 29th through 31st (Dallas, work), so I'll be worn to nubbins, sunburned, and potentially still hung over, LOL.

ETA: And to top that off, the 3rd is my birthday :-P

I'm putting it down on the calender, but I don't know, my oldest has Basketball every Saturday now until end of March.

Bumpity bump, is this still on for Feb.2nd or 3rd?
01/25/2008 01:58:12 AM · #109
I was 100% sure 2 weeks ago, now I am only 75% sure. I had an aunt die last week and also an old family friend passed away on Monday, Attending funerals has tossed me a few days behind schedule on a project that I am contracted to have finished by Feb 4th. I might have to work that weekend if I do not get things complete by then. Providing nobody else dies, I might just make it.

I'm in if we can get a time/place.

Hey...is anyone still interested in shooting eagles? I have to work this Sat. and next weekend I'm going to California, but March 1st would work for me. If not all the way to Iowa, they also have eagles around Prairie du Sak.

I could do the first but I have a commitment that evening, so staying a little closer to home works. Name a time and place Ed.

I think I could be involved in this, Show me the way.

Hey, when did Insta Dave cancel his account? Just noticed it today.

Kirbic, you in for the first? I can email Dave. Think he'd still join us?
02/16/2008 02:30:36 PM · #116
The 1st will work great for me. If Prairie du Sak is OK for everyone it's not as far as Iowa. We could meet at the Ferry Bluff Eagle Council Overlook which is right downtown in Prairie du Sak. I bet they got some place we could get breakfast also. I can make it there at anytime in the morning. What time sounds good for everyone?
02/16/2008 02:49:07 PM · #117
Ed, I am definitely in and agree with your plan. Breakfast especially sounds excellent, but as I am on weightwatchers now, I won't be quite the gastronome you all know and love from past GTGs.

I'm up for early. The earlier the better.
02/16/2008 02:57:50 PM · #118
was wondering how long it would take for someone to mention breakfast. lol

I'm talking to you Bugz. I'm ready to apply for a new zip code for your belly!

;-)

It was already issued a Zip Code, Soon as they put in the air strip. lol I was a weight watcher for a whole year once. It was very boring to watch, It didn't do anything. After awhile I got so bored i actually tried to gain weight instead, Still failed. wanted my money back but they said that was the only thing I for certain was going to lose. haha

I think we should have a spring GTG in Madison. Do the morning thing on state street farmer market etc... then head over to the zoo or bum around the lakes. Ive mentioned this in the past but a GTG on Bikes would be fun. I can already hear some of you cringing but hey, Mr Weight Watcher should be all for this one,. lol

Lots of trails in Madison around the lakes etc... Would be a fun way to get around.

Spring time in Madison sounds great to me. I'll get you info on when the farmer's market starts up, but we'll probably want to wait a few weeks after that too, to make sure it's warm enough to bike around. Seems like a million years away with a winter storm headed our way for tomorrow morning. (sigh)
