alright, at 600 USD, that lens is a steal, photozone gives it good ratings and its mtf figures are excellant... i don't get it whats the catch.. its probably one of the most unpopular lenses ever...
anyone happen to own this one and would be kind enough to share his feedback, i'd really appreciate it..

wouldn't mind finding out more about this lens too, as from the research I've done, it seems to be a great lens for what i want... but no1 seems to use it lol... Initially I was going for the 70-200mm f/2.8 ... but heres why i picked the other one

Reasons I want it are:
- 70-200mm not long enough... I'd be permenantly using that with a TC just to get up to the same focal length
- sports not shot frequently, and definately don't shoot indoors, so 2.8 prolly not necessary just yet
- when used with 1.4x TC gives me 450mm maintaining AF... I'd prolly use this lens mostly for wildlife type stuff, so focal length is always a good thing
