I have an opportunity to spend 10 days in Athens for an exchange program through my MBA. Anyone know how the weather is in Greece during mid January? Any good for photography? I'm not particularly intrigued about the school.

An alternative is to go to France (Aix-en-Provence).

The weather will be a little bit warmer than Milan (i saw you live there on your profile), sort of like Rome. There are usually rainy days, but also lots of crisp sunny ones too.

As far as photography, you can of course take photos of the acropolis and the temple of poseidon in sounio (30 km ousside athens). The neighboorhood of Plaka is also interesting to shoot. The central meat + fish + vegetable market is great for candid city life shots.

On a day trip you can visit Delphi (beautiful mountain and site of the ancient oracle), the ancient theater in Epidauros (along with the town of Nafplio). Also there is a boat that take you to Aegina, Poros and Hydra on a tour. Hydra eing a very interesting place.

A quick search will give you info on all of those.
If I think of more Ill post again, and dont hestitate to ask me anything
