500mm on a 1.6 crop... mmm very nice, have fun with it.

a friend of mine uses this lens with his olympus E300, which makes it a 340-1000...

incidentally, what's the AF like when this thing zooms out far enough to have a max aperture of 5.6+?

It's fairly quick with plenty of light but not so fast in low light situations, this was shot on autofocus.
