I really really would like to go, so put me down on your list.
I just like to shoot anything that moves, or doesn't move.

Can't smoke with my feet but I can do other tricks.
09/25/2007 02:35:12 PM · #77
Moving past a probable. It would take alot to keep us from coming. My hubbie and daughter will come for the trip. They'll probably check out the sights while we do the workshop.

Don't smoke - My feet are used for walking and tricks are not part of my repetoire. However, I'm sure I can talk about something else than lenses and cameras.

Don't worry about being the only one looking like a complete idiot.. There will be two more there from PEI. We know almost nothing.

Christoph: Dude I just did a little Euro conversion... Your Euro alone provides a bit of a deal ;) When P and I went the last two years.. we paid $1.50 / Euro .. y'all are going to make a killing over here lol

Well, add me on the maybe list. It's too early to tell if I can make it or not (I have some PhD to finish meanwhile), but I'll see.
I'd love to see you all again! Fukkkkers!:)

Still thinking about coming around. ;-)
I will let you know my final decision.

Hey Isabell,

No rush on final decisions until the new year.. lots of time still :)
Us Canadians are fairly fun to hang with and it'll be a treat to show off our country to y'all ;) ** Joey will be there too I think if that helps convince you ;)

I've been through your portfolio (on your site) a few times .. love your studio work.. your clients look like they have fun and are relaxed.. I like your work :) It'll be nice to meet you again and actually talk a bit more this year.

there's a limit on the classes? also...(anybody) do US people have to have a passport for Canada now too?
09/28/2007 12:20:16 PM · #93
yes, you need a passport
09/28/2007 02:33:42 PM · #94
Hey Colette,

Pending final decision of the venue we will be using, there will be a cap on the individual workshops according to classroom size.

We encouraged people to email us at the europemeetscanada@gmail.com address so they would have first say over the open spots.

The list is currently sitting around 34 people who are absolutely interested. Hope that helps.. oh and see Elmakias' answer re: the passports.

:)

Does this mean that we need to say which workshops we want in on? Or is this an all in one kinda thing?
09/28/2007 04:17:52 PM · #96
hi shecoya!
but hopefully there's still place for me in the "classes" when I've decided for it. ;-)
it's rather yes then no, but I'll have to have a look first at how much flying and all is going to cost.
*lol* I already bought a book about "Canadian Slang", so I can understand at least part of what you all are saying. :-)

oh, thanks! yes. we all have lots of fun during taking pictures. the last ones I added to my portfolio (of ivar helgason) were really great fun, he's a friend of mine, unfortunately went back to iceland again, but his faces are unbelievable! so if the next GTG is really in Iceland, I'll definitely be there.

and about joey: cooool. ;-)
09/28/2007 04:31:15 PM · #97
Steve.. nope if you are signed up you are signed up for the entire day and all workshops offered :) You won't miss out on anything promise :)

Isi: ;) I'm adding you to the list.. if you already have the slang book you HAVE to come now, even if its only so we can hear you saying our slang with your accent ;)..

nothing has to be decided for sure till the new year.. but you are on the list now :)
09/28/2007 04:58:15 PM · #98
ok. thanks!
nooooooooooooo....I didn't buy it to talk, only to understand. ;-)

There is no understanding us I'm afraid. Just be thankful we aren't hosting this on the East coast! Even WE can't understand them!

*lol* ok. thats good to hear. there's one sentence in this book for example: "stay where you're till I come where you're at." is there a more complicated way to say "stay where you are until I come back"?!??? I don't understand that.... I'm confused...
