I took about 20 pics for the zodiac challenge and they were all out of focus! I sent the best one (it was still blurry though) and of the 11 comments I've got so far, every single one comments on that (well, I would do it too)

This happens almost everytime i try to take an indoor close up; is it me with my shaky hands, is it the lightning or just the camera?

are you using a tripod? maybe you are getting too close to the subject and the camera can not focus properly, also you need a lot of light to do indoor shots if you are not going to use the flash.

It's probably any one or all of a couple of things. Shakey hands is a good guess. When you're zoomed in a real tight on something, any small movement of the camera is going to result in motion blur. Try a tripod.

Also, some of the less-capable digital cameras have a real hard time auto focusing at very short distances. I don't know if your camera has a "macro" mode, but try engaging that, and see if your camera can lock on. Otherwise, look up the specs on the minimum focusing distance, and adhere to them. As a last resort, you can try manual focus, if your camera has it. (Though I've found that manually focusing lower-end digicams is tough.)
