well......... I guess these shots aren't taking anyone's breath away (grin)

I hurt my foot a few months ago and can't really photograph my wild beasties so I am amusing myself with people...

Sure would like to learn though and I don't mind comments tht tell me what's wrong and what I should be doing better.... thanks Hotpasta for your comment.

Left a couple comments and here's a free bump.

Only overall comment I would have is the context - you have great ability to shoot and produce very dark and dramatic images - just not sure most brides want black clouds over them. Need to brighten and lighten things up a bit I think. You definitely have skill and talent though.

I agree with Art. Dark foreboding clouds are reserved for the groom no? Hehe!

That said, I like different, and if the bride does too I'm sure she's very happy!

thank you Blackdot and Art for your comments.... you are both very funny people! And no doubt if she was a real bride, these photos would probably go over like a lead baloon LOL ... I will have to wait for a sunny day me thinks and try again...or look for goth brides :) Did I mention I have a black wedding gown? :) Again, thanks so much for your feedback. Maggie

As Klstover says, interesting and unique, but thats not always a good thing. Dark/prominent clouds can have their place in images, but the overall feel of these images, to me, is one of `doom & gloom`. One thing I am trying to work out is why you didnt blue that background out a bit more on the shot sherry1.jpg and in the reflection shot I'm not quite sure what pose she is trying to pull, to me its looks like she is almost overblancing and trying to stop her falling flat on her face/in the drink. Not a very elegant or ladylike pose at all.

Going back to sherry1.jpg, its the best of the bunch, its just those clouds need a bit of throttling back.

I have tried to use clouds to good (at least I hope so) effect in these two images.

To clarify:
I agree that the clouds say "doom and gloom" in these images.
I just like how that contrasts with the typical wedding idea. :-)

Thanks kistover and simms .... I like your clouds better simms .... and kistover, I too like the contrast with the dark clouds and the traditional look of the bride... best part is, I am having fun doing this and getting in practice - I think I am channeling sherry's darker side.. she has been married 5 times LOL ...oh well, I have another model lined up for this weekend - will see what happens with that one... thanks again all

The sky is way overdone with the pp in my opinion. It looks fake, like it's from a sin city scene. I don't think it goes well with a wedding at all.
